SQUATCAT

Terms of Use

Last updated October 5, 2026

These terms govern your use of Squatcat ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Squatcat, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What Squatcat is

Squatcat is a fitness and wellness app that reminds you to move after meals and uses your device's camera to count squat reps on-device. Squatcat is not a medical device, and it isn't intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

3. Health disclaimer

Exercise carries some risk of injury. You use Squatcat, and perform any exercise it suggests or tracks, entirely at your own risk. Consult a doctor before starting any new exercise routine, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have any concerns about your ability to exercise safely.

4. Your account

You're responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.
  • Providing accurate account information and keeping it up to date.
  • Being of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use Squatcat.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Squatcat for any unlawful purpose or in a way that disrupts the app for others.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, or attempt to extract its source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Interfere with or attempt to circumvent the app's security, rep-verification, or account systems.

6. Camera and data

Squat verification runs entirely on your device: your camera feed is processed locally in your browser to count reps and is never uploaded, recorded, or sent to our servers. We only store the result — a rep count and a timestamp, not any image or video. For details on what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

Squatcat — including its app, characters, artwork, and branding — is owned by us. These terms don't grant you any ownership rights in the app; you get a personal, non-transferable right to use it for its intended purpose.

8. Disclaimers

Squatcat is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that rep counting will always be accurate.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Squatcat, including any injury sustained while exercising. Our total liability for any claim relating to Squatcat is limited to the amount you've paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use Squatcat after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

11. Squat Points

Squatcat includes an in-app scoring and streak system ("Squat Points"). Squat Points and streaks are a status and gamification feature only. They have no monetary value, are not a cryptocurrency, token, or security, and cannot be bought, sold, withdrawn, redeemed, or exchanged for anything of value. We may adjust, reset, or discontinue the points and seasons system at any time.
